MC Guy Pratt guided us through a chat on writ­ing and per­form­ing com­edy, demon­strat­ing ably how “it’s not just about telling jokes,” and how even small things like the height of the ceil­ing in the venue can com­pletely blitz an attempt to make peo­ple laugh.

Review: Rip It Up

Steered by bassist and host Guy Pratt, over the course of three hours the crowd watched the pan­el­lists dis­sect some of their most cher­ished songs, allow­ing pun­ters a glimpse into the shrouded world of musi­cian­ship. Best of all, of course, was the appro­pri­ate array of instru­ments on-stage, allow­ing for plenty of those, ‘Here, let me show you’ moments.
