  1. Vic Gilmore - March 4, 2007 2:26 AM

Ferry album sounds great mate. Chris Spedding one of the boys. . .
Hope you’re doing OK. I’ll try to catch you on the tour somewhere. Just look for the hair comrade!

  2. Nate - March 4, 2007 4:06 AM

Saw you last night on ‘Live from Abbey Road’ with Mr G 🙂
Excellent performance from a great band.

‘That’s why we get the Big Bucks!’ 😀

  3. Andy - March 4, 2007 10:23 PM

Hi Guy, just saw the docu on Ch4. I note you were using an Ashdown combo. I’m wrestling with an Ashdown ABM500 at mo; what settings did you use during the show?? Would be very grateful if you could let me know then I could try them and see if sounds better than the ones I’ve used thus far. Soz for the anorak type question! 🙂 Good luck with the tour.

  4. Renee - March 4, 2007 11:31 PM

Good luck on tour and stay safe. HOpe the book is going good.

    Renee B.

  5. Karen - March 5, 2007 4:27 AM

    Isn’t it bonny Scotland ?

And where are we going ?

  6. Guy Pratt - March 5, 2007 5:01 PM

My Ashdown settings aere just a bit over half for everything, no big secret..

Well I’m going off on my own tour, details soon..

  7. lorraine - March 6, 2007 12:14 AM

I’m looking forward to your very own tour.

  8. Phoenix - March 6, 2007 10:43 AM

Just so long as it’s not a three hour tour, a three hour tour…

(Yes, very sleep deprived at the moment…)

  9. Haris Varajic - March 7, 2007 1:56 AM

    Hi Guy!
All the best about toor and book!
I just read at one web portal that Brian Ferry will visit Sarajevo and make concert here. Can you confirm that?
It would be awsome, to meet you finally, and to hear gorgeous sound of “Betsy” live :))

  10. STEFANO - March 8, 2007 11:49 PM

    Hy Guy,

I met you after the second show in Milan, outside the hotel. We discussed just a minute about my new Stingray…..the same colour that one of yours (Natural).
    Did you remember me?
Can you help me? I want to find a name for my bass….do you have any suggest?

Have a great time with Brian on tour!
Hope to see you in Italy another time (alone or with “Uncle David”)

  11. simon emery - March 9, 2007 12:14 PM

hi guy i met you at abbey rd with david gilmour it was the best day of my life thankyou for all you did and do with david and others enjoy your tour with mr ferry

  12. Emilio - March 12, 2007 11:54 AM

    Hi Guy,
    You’re the best!
best wishes for this new tour…

  13. Sebastian - March 13, 2007 4:09 AM

    Hello Guy.
    How its going.
Im from Argentina, and im very happy because this saturday i will see Roger Waters on stage. Wath do you think about him? Is he a good person? I think that Gilmour, Mason, Wrigth and Roger Waters too are more interested in the money that in the music. I like pink floyd music to much.
Is there any possibility that David Gilmour comes to Argentina?
Ok i think I have done to much questions for this time.
You now, I like very much the solo that yo do on One slip. Is that complicated? I play bass to.

    Sorry for the orthographic mistakes.
If you want to mail me, my email is Sebla1989@homail.com
    hehe good wishes… Seba

The echo of a distant time
    Comes willowing across the sand
And everything is green and submarine

    Thats a good song hehehe
    good bye

Adios jejeje suerte Guy tu musica es exelente

  14. Nate - March 16, 2007 1:59 AM

    Hi Guy,

Not sure if you have kept watching ‘the show’
It’s coming to an end like all good things must 🙁

This one from a few days ago is made up of clips sent in from the community around it:

Caution it’s longer than ‘Echoes’ 😉

  15. Chris - March 16, 2007 4:58 PM

I’m shoure you don’t need another wishing-of-good luck , cos you allready are a very lucky person, have a nice time on the tour.

May I ask something, you played guitar on Then I Clouse My Eyes in 2006 on David’s tour, I have never saw you on electric guitar before, sorry, the question is:are you a very good guitar player?
I also play the guitar, was wondering what’s your favorite type of guitar? (brand, model…)

  16. Simon J - March 16, 2007 6:58 PM

Just wanted to say hey. However there is a catch….

For this weekend only, Wales are playing England, so Good luck…..
    Cause you’ll need it!!

All the best to you Guy. Fi dym Yn hoffi Lloegr. Work that one out Gilmour fans!!!!

  17. Phoenix - March 17, 2007 6:26 AM

Simon J said: Fi dym Yn hoffi Lloegr.

    You hawked up a loogie?

Work that one out, my Welsh friend. 😀

  18. Gabrielle Childers - March 17, 2007 5:02 PM

    Hello Guy!

It’s been a while since I checked in with you. Looks as though you’re keeping pretty busy this month, eh? Hope you’re enjoying the tour and we’re still looking forward to that book of yours as well as the comedy tour to follow.

Just a suggestion, try to arrange your comedy tour schedule to be in the Seattle area somewhere just before or after August 18, if you know what I mean (wink, wink)! I’ll have a cabin ready for you along with a few crazy bloggerfolk from that ‘other’ website ready to hoist a pint in your honor!! Actually, most of them are Irregulars on your website as well aren’t they?

    Take care my friend! Peace!
    Washington State

  19. Thomas O'Connell - March 20, 2007 11:47 AM

Hey Guy, Please come and relax at Gabreille’s resort on the 18th of August. Its our first Barnfest 2007. The people who will be there are from Davids web Site. You would love it She has cabins,Pool, Hot Tub and there will be a huge Barbeque. Plus it is located on a beautiful river with 40 plus acres of land to hike. I know you are on a buzy schedule. But if you can bring the family and chill out for a few days and do some great fishing. Take Care, Thomas

  20. Guy Pratt - March 20, 2007 6:01 PM

I’d love to make the barnfest but it may be a tad ambitious..

  21. Phoenix - March 21, 2007 6:36 AM

Thank you very kindly for considering the invitation, Guy. Please let us know if there’s anything we could do to help make it less ambitious, if you’re amenable.

  22. Angelo Ortiz - March 22, 2007 12:09 AM

Still looking out for when you’re in town, dude. All the best from mostly sunny NYC….

  23. Rudders - Toronto - March 26, 2007 7:57 PM

Do you have an estimated date for when the book will be out?

Looking forward to seeing the show in Toronto sometime soon. I have a LOT of people interested 🙂

  24. Rudders - Toronto - March 26, 2007 8:18 PM

Some helpful hints when in Scotland.

    1. Don’t refer to the locals as “Sweaties” as they tend to get upset. For those of you not accustomed to rhyming slang this means Sweaty Sock = Jock = Scottish Person

    2. They are kilts NOT skirts…

    Good luck 🙂

  25. Rudders - Toronto - March 26, 2007 8:24 PM

    Guy et al….

    Here’s a funny Scottish video…

  26. Tomasz - March 28, 2007 8:22 PM

Just came back home from Amsterdam,
What a gig it was, I enjoyed every mintute there,
I would like to thank you and to ask you to thank all Mr. Ferry band,
It is difficult to point highs and lows of the night because it was all time high,

    Thanks a lot,

  27. animal - March 30, 2007 4:11 PM

    hi ,
last night seen the bryan ferry show in antwerp ( i was the shiny bald cueball on the front row ) well best show of the decade , a dancing audience and a lot of fun on stage , andy newmark and the pratt guy makes faces to oneanother , lovely to see !
thx for the fantastic night !!!

  28. Karen - April 5, 2007 1:37 AM

Noticed you have updated tour dates with ‘ your ‘ tour.

  29. Renee - April 5, 2007 5:54 PM

hhhmmmm…..no US dates?? Well I will keep hoping

    Renee B
    Fontana, Ca USA

  30. george hartselle - April 5, 2007 6:05 PM

I’ve read the reviews of your show and doesn’t it feel a bit strange to be routinely referred to as self deprecating. It sounds as though you’re abusing yourself. But what would I know, I’m just a bassplayer?

  31. Rudders - Toronto - April 5, 2007 8:00 PM

I’ve nearly finished the seventh series of the West Wing on DVD and very soon there’ll be a big gap I’ll need to fill

Sooo… maybe a show in Tornto will ease the pain? 🙂

(Although a new series of the Trailer Park Boys starts next week)

  32. Guy Pratt - April 8, 2007 9:42 PM

There’s self deprecating or arrogant, and not a lot in between, I know which I’d rather be..

  33. steffen berster - April 9, 2007 5:07 PM

hi guy, saw you performing in düsseldorf. great audience, wasn`t it? 😉 great show as well. i was standing first row and really had to laugh some times when you and andy interacted for example in “simple twist of fate”…great little moments…good luck for the tour! (i got the set list from the stage engineer- why was virginia plain on it- but not performed as an encore? would be a great addition to the set…simply love the old roxy stuff!) cu steffen from germany

  34. Rudders - Toronto - April 13, 2007 1:32 PM

    Sorry Guy…
