    I don’t know why but I had a prob­lem with my first com­ment… So, I try again… It was just to say that the DVD “David Gilmour at the Royal Albert Hall” is just fan­tas­tic! It was great to see David Bowie singing Comfortably Numb and, of course, to see you play­ing bass Mr Pratt!

    Hey Guy,

    Congratulations on being part of such a suc­cess­ful DVD. Reading David Gilmour’s blog and news today (September 24^th) it’s impres­sive to see his DVD ris­ing up the charts quickly but not sur­pris­ing. What a bless­ing to be a part of all this Pink Floyd and David Gilmour his­tory!

    This DVD is bound to be rec­og­nized as a clas­sic and all of you who par­tic­i­pated in it will have quite an iconic place in music his­tory. Marie and I really hope your book is pub­lished in the US soon and that you are able to tour here. We hope that, at least while we are here in Utah, you don’t over­look Salt Lake City on your next tour. We also hope to see you in London in November if you book some tour dates — we’ll be in the area and Marie would love to see your show as she has­n’t been able to yet.

    After the “too-too” “too-too” beat’s that intro­ducted “Breath in the air” I did­n’t resist and caught my stingray to play with you…
    Why you did­n’t use your fan­tas­tic nat­ural (or black) stingray on this tour? During take a breath for istance…
    I want to say thank’s for the fan­tas­tic descrip­tion of your ton’s of effects at the end of the book (the book was wery wery hilarous and I was wery sur­prised when I dis­cov­ered that you stayed near Milan (my home) in 1990 to had a recorded ses­sion with Robert Palmer!)

    my name is dave and i am a high school teacher in the chicago area. am also an ama­teur song­writer, gui­tarist and bassist. have been a long time fan of yours since first hear­ing you with pink floyd and bryan ferry while in col­lege in the 80s. we met once, dur­ing the divi­sion bell tour back in ’94. still one of the best nights of my life! any news on bring­ing your new biog­ra­phy tour to the U.S.?

    any­way, i just picked up the new David Gilmour DVD and saw you play­ing (i was unsuc­cess­ful in get­ting tick­ets when the tour came here) and found your web­site and thought i would drop you a line.

    quick ques­tion for you. back in ’94, you gave me a very used gui­tar pick with your sig­na­ture on it. i have it in a small frame with a Division Bell adver­tis­ment. when i opened up the new Gilmour DVD, there were pic­tures of sev­eral of david’s plec­tra so i thought i would write you to see if you had any new plec­tra???

    i would be hon­ored to have another one of your picks.

    I’ve been a fan since Delicate Sound Of Thunder and I am now read­ing your book which, I must say, has had me laugh­ing out loud a few times. If you ever bring your stand-up rou­tine to (west­ern) Canada, I would love to see it.
